I have always been drawn to stories about families—the things they tell one another, the things they don't, and the way choices made by one generation can quietly shape the next.

Historical romance gives me the chance to explore those relationships in a world where family loyalty, social convention, love, and duty could make even the simplest choices complicated. I am especially drawn to the women who lived within those expectations, and the choices they made when what was expected of them collided with what they wanted for themselves.

What the Roses Hide grew from that fascination: two families bound together by love, betrayal, loss, and a secret that refuses to remain buried. At its heart, it is also about the people who inherit the consequences of choices they never made—and what happens when they finally learn the truth.
